2024-2025 Selected Reserve Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) Rates

Montgomery GI Bill-Selected Reserve (Chapter 1606) rates are effective dates from Oct. 1 through Sept. 30.
Use your class start date to determine which year’s charts you should use, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs. For example, if your class starts in August 2024, you will receive the 2023-2024 rate.
The 2024-2025 rates increased by about 3.25% for most students from the previous fiscal year.
Yearly inflation costs raise the price of education, so education benefits increase every October to keep up with inflation-driven demands.
MGIB benefits cover up to 36 months of schooling. Using your benefits at a school with a nine-month academic year should stretch them to cover about up to a four-year degree.

Correspondence and Flight: You will use one month of your entitlement for each $481 you receive.
