2021 and 2022 Military Reserve Pay Dates

by MilitaryBenefits

DFAS reserve military pay dates are the first and 15th days of every month unless those dates fall on a weekend or holiday. Whenever a payday falls on a weekend or holiday, pay is issued on the last workday preceding the first and the 15th.

Reserve members are paid twice a month. The 15th is the mid-month pay date and includes pay due from the first day of the month through the 15th. The first of the following month is the end of month pay and includes pay due from the 16th through the last day of the previous month.

Find out which military friendly banks and credit unions pay early.

The mid-month NPA and end-of-month LES/Pay Statements are available through the myPay system based on the dates below:

Reserve Pay Overview

Reserve pay is based on two weeks of training each year and one weekend each month, otherwise known as Drill Pay, plus any bonuses or allowance. Compensation is hourly for work completed and wages will increase with rank and years of experience (many newly enlisted Soldiers enter the Reserve as a private). For training events longer than a weekend, service members are given prorated Basic Pay.

DFAS MyPay System

The Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) MyPay system allows service members to automatically access pay and tax statements and travel advice updates. Additional features include Thrift Savings Plan enrollment, change or cancel contribution percentage for TSP, view and print tax statement and travel vouchers, update bank information or change tax withholdings.

The DFAS MyPay login can be found at https://mypay.dfas.mil and the DFAS phone number is 888-332-7411, select option 5 for MyPay.

The reserve military pay dates are for all military service reserve branches: Army Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Navy Reserve, Air Force Reserve and Coast Guard Reserve.
