    Disney resorts and theme partks need no introduction. These destinations are the premier global theme park and resort standard known for making great family friendly memories for several decades.

    You can visit Disney theme parks in Florida at Disney World which includes.

    • Magic Kingdom

    Disney also has two theme parks in Anaheim, including the original Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure.

    Disney theme parks are offering discounted Park Hopper tickets for all military members and retirees. Park Hopper tickets allow access to either all four Disneyworld theme parks or both Disneyland theme parks each day that the tickets cover.

    Disney Armed Forces Salute Program offers up to six discounted tickets for Disney theme parks in the U.S.

    The Disney Armed Forces Salute program currently offers 4-Day and 5-Day Military Park Hopper tickets at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

    Visit your nearest Morale, Welfare and Recreation office and present a valid military I.D. to purchase tickets. Tickets must be purchased by either the service member or their spouse and must be over the age of 18.

    Qualifying service members can also take advantage of great rates at select Disney Resort hotels as well. A valid military ID will be required upon check-in and the military member (or spouse) must stay in the room. The number of rooms allocated for this offer is limited and length of stay requirements may apply.

    NOTE: Discounts noted here are set to expire in December 2023. Disney has not announced specific military discounts for 2024, so you may need to check with your local MWR office or Disney direct to see what current discounts are offered.

    Who Qualifies for the Discounts?

    The deal is for all military personnel and their spouses, including: 

    • Active duty Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, Space Force, Coast Guard, Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
    • National Guard
    • Reservists
    • Retired military

    Disney Hotels & Lodging 

    For the complete magical experience, stay at a Disney Resort hotel and save upwards of 30-40%. Premium and standard suites are available with added perks—enjoy a themed suite for your family or run into your favorite Disney character at the dining hall. It’s the most valued choice for visitors who prefer proximity to the theme park. Discounts vary by property and may change or be subject to blackout dates. Inquire when you’re ready to make a reservation.

    • Disneyland Resort in Anaheim includes Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, Disneyland Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. 
    • DisneyWorld Resort discounts are not valid at the following resorts: The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort.
    • Those who stay at Disney Resort hotels have access to Magic Hours, an added benefit for early admission to the park, restaurants, and shows. Magic Hours does not include the new attraction, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.
    • Suites are based on availability and exclude Moderate and Deluxe suites. Call in advance for reservations.


    Staying at Shades of Green

    For affordable options, check out Shades of Green located within Walt Disney World grounds. Shades of Green is an Armed Forces Recreation Center (AFRC) with hotel amenities including dining packages and luxury accommodations.

    Your reservation also includes complimentary shuttle service to the park and Magic Hours access. Rates are determined by rank category and available on a limited basis. FastPass Plus reservation window can be made up to 60 days prior to check-in.


    Disney Merchandise

    Shop Disney periodically posts special promotions online, or you can visit a Disney Store location near you and receive a military-friendly discount with 10% off merchandise. Just present a valid military I.D. to receive a discount. 


    Disney Cruises

    Disney Cruise lines offer military discounts on the Caribbean and Pacific coastlines. The Disney themes cruiseliners have wonderful amenities which include family entertainment onboard, pools, waterslides, and kids clubs. Offers vary so check the Disney Cruises site for the latest discounts.

    Does Disney have a Veterans Day discount?

    It’s traditional for the Disney Theme Parks to do something special each year to commemorate Veterans Day and serve veterans that work at Disney and those in the surrounding communities.

    In previous years, Walt Disney World expanded on their Heroes Who Work Here initiative to include a special celebration that honored the veterans who work at Disney World. The Heroes Who Work Here initiative is Disney’s special program designed to employ veterans.
