Veterans Day Free Meals and Discounts in Florida

Veterans Day is coming up, and Florida has some seriously good deals waiting for you. I’ve put together this guide so you can plan your day, hit up the best spots, and actually enjoy the freebies you’ve earned without wading through a bunch of deals that don’t apply to you.

First and foremost, thank you for your service. Secondly, as Veterans Day approaches, you can expect to receive discounts and deals as a small gesture of appreciation for your service.

There are literally thousands of Veterans Day discounts out there, and trying to keep track of them can become overwhelming quickly. So here’s the deal: if you want to see everything, check out all Veterans Day discounts and deals on our massive list. Seriously, it’s probably the most comprehensive one you’ll find, as we’ve had people working on this project year-round.

However, I completely understand if you don’t want to scroll through hundreds of deals for places that aren’t near you or things you’re not interested in. That’s exactly why I put together two things: a guide to help you plan your entire Veterans Day to max out those discounts, and this piece specifically for my Florida readers who want the good stuff without all the noise.

Veterans Day Breakfast Deals

Starting off the day, knock out some free breakfast at one of these places:

  • Country Kitchen: Enjoy a free Country Scramble breakfast.
  • Denny’s: Veterans get a free “Build-Your-Own Grand Slams” from 5 a.m. to noon.
  • IHOP: Veterans can enjoy free Red, White, and Blue pancakes.
  • Another Broken Egg Cafe: Veterans and active-duty servicemembers can receive a complimentary Patriot French Toast combo.
  • Cracker Barrel: The restaurant is offering a free Sunrise Pancake special.

Veterans Day Free Meals When You Dine-In for Lunch or Dinner

Whether you’re planning to treat yourself or gather with friends and family, these dine-in restaurants are serving up some solid discounts for veterans on Veterans Day:

  • Applebee’s: Veterans can get a free meal from a special menu.
  • Texas Roadhouse: Veterans receive a free meal voucher.
  • Outback Steakhouse: (New in 2025) In previous years, this chain offered a blooming onion and a drink discount. But out with the old, in with the new, as this year they’re offering a special Aussie 3-course meal!
  • Olive Garden: Olive Garden offers veterans a free meal from a select menu. The best part is that breadsticks, salad, or soup (my favorite is the gnocchi!) are included.
  • Chili’s Bar and Grill: Veterans get a free meal from a special menu.
  • Logan’s Roadhouse: Logan’s Roadhouse is offering a free meal (lunch). Be aware that this is often limited to lunch hours, so plan accordingly.
  • Duffy’s Sports Grill: Free meal for veterans and active duty service members.
  • Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders: Offers a 3-piece tender meal, as long as you buy a drink. (A great alternative to places like Raising Cane’s or Zaxby’s)
  • Sonny’s BBQ: Get yourself a free pork big deal when you dine in. (This would be my personal pick, because who doesn’t love tender pulled pork)

Veterans Day Fast Food Discounts

Let’s say you’re on the go and don’t want to spend a lot of time eating at a dine-in spot for lunch; many fast food options are available.

  • McDonald’s: This one is kind of sticky. Not all offer deals, but many do, so be sure to ask. The ones that have had deals before often include at least a free coffee, but sometimes they range to include a full combo meal.
  • Pollo Tropical: It’s offering a free quarter chicken platter with 2 sides with a valid military ID. (Fun Fact: The restaurant chain doesn’t specifically list this as a Veterans Day deal, but rather a deal every second Tuesday of each month. However, when is Veterans Day this year? Oh, right, a second Tuesday!)
  • Dairy Queen: Some Dairy Queen locations offer free ice cream treats!
  • Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers: Veterans can receive a free combo meal card on Veterans Day, which can be redeemed on the same day or later.
  • Starbucks: Starbucks offers a free tall brewed coffee for veterans and military spouses. (This is one everyone in the family can enjoy!)
  • Little Caesar’s Pizza: Some Little Caesar’s locations offer free pizza slices or discounts.
  • Tijuana Flats: Historically, they have offered a free entree with the purchase of a beverage for the military community. Also, year-round, they offer 15% off food for military members.

Veterans Day Entertainment Discounts in Florida

If you’re trying to get out and about on Veterans Day, there are some places that offer discounts and deals for veterans and military personnel.

  • Miami Seaquarium: Free entry for active duty or veterans.
  • Zoo Miami: Veterans and active duty military members get 50% off, while also getting 25% for up to 6 more guests.
  • Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden: Free entry for active duty and veterans.

Final Point

Once again, I would like to thank you for your service. You and your family have made countless sacrifices for this country. Please remember to bring your military ID or proof of service when you go out. I don’t want you to miss out on discounts and benefits that you’ve earned.
