Labor Day falls on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026.
Each year, we compile a list of military discounts offered by retailers to the military community on Labor Day. We are now updating our list of verified military discounts for Labor Day 2026 below. Check back for updates as we continue to add to the list. For a full list of discounts available year-round, visit our military discounts list.
Retailers may change offers, exclude certain products or end promotions early. Before buying, compare the price shown after military verification with the public sale price. The two discounts may not combine, and the public promotion may sometimes provide the better deal.
Save on More Than Labor Day Deals
Some of the biggest savings aren’t found in a shopping cart. See if you could pay less for insurance or put your VA loan benefit to work on your next home move.
See If You Could Lower Your Insurance Costs
Insurance is easy to set and forget, but rates, discounts and coverage needs change. If it’s been a while since you compared options, you could be paying more than you need to. A quick coverage check is one of the simplest ways to look for savings and potentially free up room in your monthly budget.
Millions of Veterans May Be Missing Out
Many Veterans don’t realize how much their VA loan benefit can do. Eligible borrowers may be able to buy without a down payment, refinance for new terms or access their home’s equity. See what the benefit you earned could make possible.
How we label the discounts
- Military-only Labor Day offer: A limited-time holiday promotion requiring military or community-status verification.
- Year-round military discount: An ongoing military benefit that may be available during Labor Day weekend.
- Public Labor Day sale: A promotion available to everyone. It may beat the military discount, but the two offers may not combine.

How to get a military discount during Labor Day sales
- Verify before the weekend. Retailers commonly use ID.me or SheerID. A document review can take additional time.
- Compare both prices. Check the public sale price and the price shown after military verification.
- Read the exclusions. Sale items, appliances, gift cards, limited releases, services and previous purchases are frequently excluded.
- Calculate the complete cost. Include shipping, installation, taxes, financing charges and mail-in rebate requirements.
- Check whether offers combine. Do not assume a military discount stacks with a holiday promotion.
- Save the terms. Keep a screenshot or copy of the offer details in case the displayed price changes.

Amazon does not advertise a broad, year-round military discount for retail purchases. Military shoppers can still use public Labor Day prices and compare them with other retailers’ verified military offers.
Is Labor Day a military holiday?
Labor Day is a federal holiday honoring the contributions of American workers. It is not a military appreciation holiday, although some businesses include service members and veterans in community discount programs or holiday promotions.
