The Presidio of Monterey (POM) is an active US Army installation located in Monterey, California, approximately 120 miles south of San Francisco. Monterey County is a region known for its rugged coastline and moderate year-round climate. Childcare options are available at USAG Presidio Monterey through its Child Development Centers (CDCs). They offer full-day, part-day, and hourly care for children as young as 6 months old, to 5 years old.
There are also school-year programs that offer after school options for students.
Schooling
There are on-post schools at USAG Presidio of Monterey. They are operated by the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. The only on-post school options are elementary and middle schools. High schools are off-post.
