    U.S. Army Cadet Command 5th Brigade is a military facility located at Fort Sam Houston on Joint Base San Antonio in Texas. Its primary mission is to partner with universities and high schools to recruit, educate, develop, and inspire Senior ROTC Cadets, with the ultimate goal of commissioning officers of character for the Total Army. Additionally, it aims to develop citizens of character committed to serving the nation.

    USACC 5th Brigade Housing

    USACC 5th Brigade does not provide any housing options. However there are on-base housing options available through Joint Base San Antonio.

    PCS and TDY Lodging

    There are several temporary lodging options in the area. At Fort Sam Houston, you can reach the IHG Army Hotels at 210-357-2705. Temporary lodging options are available for both Temporary Duty (TDY) and Permanent Change of Station (PCS) personnel.

    USACC 5th Brigade Surrounding Area

    San Antonio, Texas, known as “Military City USA” and the seventh largest city in the country, offers a rich blend of cultural and historical sites, including the iconic Alamo and the bustling River Walk. The base’s surrounding area extends to Bexar County, providing access to a variety of outdoor and recreational attractions such as the scenic San Antonio River and the expansive Texas Hill Country.

    Healthcare

    There are no healthcare options provided at the facility housing the USACC 5th Brigade.

    All other healthcare options are available at Fort Sam Houston, more specifically, the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), offers state-of-the-art medical care including emergency care.

    Childcare

    There are several childcare options provided throughout the network of installations within the JBSA. In Fort Sam Houston there are three Child Development Centers available for families.

    Schooling

    There are no schooling options offered through the USACC 5th Brigade facility.

    However, similar to the childcare situation, Joint Base San Antonio offers school options depending on which of the three bases a family lives on or lives close to.
