Seymour Johnson Air Force Base is surrounded by smaller farming communities known for their production of cotton, tobacco, wheat, corn, chickens, and pigs, contributing to the region’s unique agricultural charm. The base is about an hour and a half away from Wilmington, NC, and thus the coast.
