What Kind of Base is NSA Saratoga Springs?
NSA Saratoga Springs aids Naval Reservists in several Naval Operations Support Centers (NOSC) and Navy Recruiters within 50 miles, ANG personnel at Stratton Air National Guard Base in Schenectady County, and provides select services to retirees. Saratoga Springs History
Originally the Naval Administrative Unit (NAU) Scotia, the base primarily supported the Navy’s nuclear power operations in Ballston Spa, NY. In 1999, it relocated to Saratoga Springs and was renamed Naval Support Unit (NSU) Saratoga Springs. By 2010, it became NSA Saratoga Springs, falling under the Navy Installations Command and Navy Region Mid-Atlantic.

The Naval Support Activity Saratoga Springs military base is in Upstate New York, about a half-hour drive north of the state capital, Albany. This scenic location is situated between the Catskill and the Adirondack Mountains, offering a plethora of outdoor recreational opportunities.
On-base medical services are available at the NSA Saratoga Springs Navy Branch Health Clinic. This facility offers medical and dental care and operates Monday to Friday from 0730 to 1530. The clinic is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
