    Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow is a strategic hub due to its proximity to three major highways and location within 150 miles of the major ports in Los Angeles and San Diego. The base features three main sites: Nebo Annex, Yermo Annex, and a site dedicated to rifle and pistol ranges. One of the base’s standout features is the Marine Corps Logistics Bases’ Maintenance Center, one of only two in the U.S. Additionally, the base boasts the only horse-mounted color guard in the Marine Corps.

    Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow History

    Established on December 28, 1942, as the Marine Corps Depot of Supplies, the base initially stored supplies for Fleet Marine Forces during WWII. Its role expanded in March 1961 with the inception of the Depot Maintenance Activity. Renamed the Marine Corps Logistics Base in November 1978, it now serves as an essential part of the logistics chain that arms and equips the Marine forces

    Contact the base housing office at 760-577-6555 to initiate the application process. After completing the necessary forms, submit them for review. Depending on housing availability, there may be a waiting period.

    PCS and TDY Lodging

    The Oasis Temporary Lodging Facility serves those on Temporary Duty (TDY) and Permanent Change of Station (PCS). Reach them at 760-577-6418 for reservations. While they welcome pets, some restrictions apply.
