Fort Cavazos is in Killeen, Texas. It is between both cities Austin and Waco The post is the headquarters of III Armored Corps, First Army Division West and is home to the 1st Cavalry Division and 3rd Cavalry Regiment. Once named Fort Hood, Fort Cavazos is one of the most populated U.S. military installations in the world. The fort plays a pivotal role in testing and training of new armored U.S. army equipment.

Fort Cavazos Surrounding Area
