Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (PRFTA), commonly known as Camp Parks, resides in Dublin, California just outside San Francisco. This U.S. Army base primarily serves as a training hub for Army Reserve personnel, readying them for potential war scenarios and natural disasters. Established during World War II, Camp Parks transitioned from a Naval Construction Battalion recuperation center to an Air Force basic training center during the Korean War. Now, it’s a pivotal training space for over 11,000 Army Reserve Soldiers in the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s also the site for the Federal Correctional Institute, Dublin, and lies adjacent to Santa Rita Jail.
