Military members saw a 4.5% increase in 2025, with junior enlisted members seeing an additional 10% boost in the spring to bring the raise to roughly 14.5%.
Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) rates in Minnesota increased notably for 2026. The national average increased by 4.2%, while Minnesota duty stations received the following increases.

Approximately half of U.S. counties (around 1,500) have a minimal to no military presence. Fewer than 2% of servicemembers eligible for BAH reside in these counties. To account for these service members, there are about 30 county cost groups (CCGs) assigned, each with similar housing costs. Use the BAH calculator to enter your ZIP code and determine your MHA, also known as CCG. The MHAs range from ZZ510 to ZZ890 in increments of 10.
