The VA home loan benefit works the same way — your service earned it, and it’s built around savings. There’s no down payment required on qualifying home purchases and no private mortgage insurance, which could mean significant savings compared to conventional financing. Already own a home? A VA cash-out refinance lets you access the equity you’ve built, and if rates have shifted in your favor, a refinance could meaningfully reduce your monthly payment.
