Methodology

Our approach involved creating a survey presenting non-biased questioning, as we are primarily focused on simply understanding our respondents’ views, not influencing them. We offered a two-tiered questioning system, with specific questions geared toward people who did and did not watch the State of the Union address. For those who did watch, the survey presented 10 total questions outside of asking about their military status. Anyone who did not watch received a total of five questions. The scale of the responses included five options: two positive answering options, two negative answering options, and a neutral response.

This data is just one area where we plan to bring you the perspectives received in our “Veteran Voices” survey. Our goal is to address more topics that impact the military community to better highlight the issues at the forefront of the minds of our men and women who served this country.
