Las Vegas might be known for big spending, but if you’re part of the military community, it doesn’t have to break the bank. MGM Resorts offers exclusive discounts and perks for service members, veterans, and their families across many of its iconic Las Vegas properties. From reduced room rates to added benefits through the MGM MVP Rewards program, here’s everything you need to know about taking advantage of MGM’s military discount and making your Vegas stay more affordable.
MGM Military Discount
The most notable of MGM’s military discounts is a 10% discount off standard room rates at 13 of their upscale Vegas resorts.
Additionally, service members can receive 10% off weddings, food, and beverages at select locations, 25% off spa and salon services on property, and select discounts for on-site attractions.
Eligibility
To be eligible for any of MGM’s military and veteran programs, you must be:
- Active Duty Military
- Veteran
- National Guard
- Reserve
- Retired Military
- Spouses of eligible military personnel
How to Book a Discounted Room
- Navigate to MGM’s Military & Veterans Program page.
- Select the “Book Now” button under your desired hotel from the “Military Room Offers” section.
- Select your travel dates and complete the booking through that hotel’s military offer page.
- Present your government-issued ID at check-in:
- Military ID (Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, Retiree, or Spouse)
- VA ID card
- Form DD-214
- Driver’s license with veteran designation
MGM MVP Rewards Card
All of the standard military discounts are available with valid identification, but MGM offers an additional way to maximize your savings through the MGM MVP Rewards Card.
MGM Rewards has five tiers: Sapphire, Pearl, Gold, Platinum, and NOIR. Most guests start at the Sapphire tier and must earn 20,000 Tier Credits to reach Pearl. However, eligible military members who enroll in the MVP program are automatically upgraded to Pearl status, skipping that process entirely.
This automatic upgrade comes with several valuable perks. Pearl members receive a 10% bonus on SLOT DOLLARS® earned through slots, video poker, and video lottery terminals, and their rewards points will not expire due to inactivity. Additional benefits include complimentary self-parking, access to dedicated buffet lines, and invitations to exclusive events, promotions, and tournaments.
Even without the MVP upgrade, joining MGM Rewards is still worthwhile. Members earn points on hotel stays, dining, and entertainment they already plan to purchase, and often gain access to discounted rates. In many cases, booking as a member unlocks lower pricing than booking as a guest.
How to Get the MGM MVP Rewards Card
To receive an MGM MVP Rewards Card, eligible individuals should:
- Visit an MGM Rewards desk at any MGM property.
- Present a valid government-issued photo ID.
- Provide one of the following:
- Military ID (Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, Retiree, or Spouse)
- VA ID card
- Form DD-214
- Driver’s license with veteran designation
