The community features tennis courts, splash parks, a swimming pool, and access to recreation trails.

    Unaccompanied housing options depend on assignment status (shore duty, sea duty, student, etc.) and pay grade and include barracks or dorms, and housing in the local community.

    PCS and TDY Lodging

    At the Naval Air Station Whiting Field, temporary lodging options are available for both Temporary Duty (TDY) and Permanent Change of Station (PCS) personnel.     Naval Air Station Whiting Field is near Milton, Florida, in the Northwest Florida Panhandle. The surrounding area is home to the city of Pace. The base is within driving distance of various national parks, historic sites, and the renowned sugar-white beaches along the Gulf Shores of the Florida Panhandle. The nearby towns of Milton and Pace offer a variety of outdoor and recreational attractions for residents and visitors alike.


    On-base medical services are provided at the Naval Air Station Whiting Field’s Branch Health Clinic. The clinic offers a range of healthcare services, including family care and some dental care. However dental care is only available to active-duty personnel.

    However, it’s important to note that the clinic is closed on weekends and holidays, and in case of off-base emergencies, patients may need to seek care elsewhere.
