Schooling
The McAlester Army Ammunition Plant doesn’t have an on-site school. All local public schools belong to Pittsburg County. If you live in MCAAP housing, you’re in the Savanna School District, and transportation to Savanna’s school is available. However, suppose you choose other schools in the McAlester area while living on the installation. In that case, transportation is only provided if your child is part of the Child and Youth Services (CYS) program.
