In El Paso County, Colorado, the Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS) is a pivotal military base within the U.S. defense system. Initially constructed for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Combat Operations Center, it now supports the U.S. Space Command’s Missile Warning Center. Additionally, it acts as an alternative site for NORAD’s command center. The complex is also crucial due to its remarkable underground facility beneath 2,000 feet of granite. It serves as a fortified environment for essential operations.
