The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is situated in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, in the heart of South Central Pennsylvania’s rolling hills and meadows. This location is within a short distance of the Amish area of Lancaster, the state capital Harrisburg, and the historic city of Philadelphia.
The area is rich in history, with the colonial city of York, where the Continental Congress prepared the Declaration of Independence, just a short drive away. Outdoor and recreational attractions include the stunning Pocono Mountains to the north and the Susquehanna River, offering a variety of water-based activities.

There is a clinic on-post. It’s called the Fillmore U.S. Army Health Clinic, and it has very limited care options.

There is one Child Development Center (CDC) at DLA Susquehanna. It offers full-day care services to infant, toddler and preschool aged children. There is also an after school program for students in the area.

There are no schools on-post, and the installment is located in the West Shore School District. However this installation doesn’t have a School Liaison Office.
