Veteran.com is seeking great writers who can effectively communicate military and veterans benefits through their experience with the United States military. Affiliation can be in many forms such as a current service member, spouse, family member or a veteran.
Directed to military audience while utilizing formats beyond walls of text in paragraph format. Maintain tone and style as currently reflected on the site.
Military Benefits Categories
Education, Employment, Money & Finance, Housing, Healthcare (Tricare), Living, Compensation, Veterans Benefits, Discounts and offers from businesses. We’re also open to other ideas related to military benefits
- Approximate words Per Article: 500 -1,000
- Quality, well-formatted (e.g. paragraphs, bullet points, bold subheaders, italics, numerical lists, etc.) grammatically correct content
- Work contains full and correct references to third-parties
- Quotations of texts by third-party authors are no longer than one (1) sentence or fifteen (15) words per each quote, and not exceeding 15% of the total Worktext, with the obligatory indication of page or paragraph of the cited source
- Photos, images or any other Work submitted must be original work e.g. no copyright infringement *
- Must be original content by Submitter and never been submitted elsewhere *
- Original content cannot be published elsewhere once compensated *
- Include a brief bio (140 characters or less) e.g. military affiliation, approximate location, family, hobbies & interests, job. Indicate if you would like only your first name used

BY CHECKING THE BOX INDICATING THAT YOU AGREE TO VETERAN.COM TERMS AND YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, DO NOT CHECK THE BOX INDICATING THAT YOU AGREE TO VETERAN.COM TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
The “Work” shall be defined as any submitted work from “Submitter” including but not limited to articles, written content, photos, images, videos and infographics.
“Submitter” shall be defined as the party that creates AND submits the “Work” to Veteran.com.
Representations and Warranties of “Submitter”
“Submitter” represents and warrants that the “Work” is “Submitter’s” original work, that the “Work” is not owned by any third party, that the “Work” is accurate, that the “Work” has not been obtained by unlawful means, that the “Work” has not been previously published in any manner or medium, specifically including, but not limited to, print or electronic means, and that publication of the “Work” by Veteran.com will not violate any copyright, trademark, right of privacy, proprietary right, right of publicity or any other right of any third party. “Submitter” agrees to use reasonable care to ensure that all facts and statements in the “Work” are true.
Veteran.com agrees to pay “Submitter” $14 per Article accepted. Under no circumstances will “Submitter” be paid on an hourly, daily or other basis that is a function of time. “Submitter” acknowledges and agrees that Veteran.com will only pay “Submitter” for “Work” that is explicitly accepted and Veteran.com has the sole and exclusive authority to determine whether or not to accept any and all “Work” submitted by “Submitter”. Payment is paid once per month via PayPal. “Submitter” must provide a valid PayPal email address in order to be paid.
All original “Work” created for this project shall be considered “work-for-hire” performed in the United States of America. The copyright and any other rights for all “Work” produced shall belong to the “Submitter” until 100% of payment has been received. Upon receiving full payment, the “Submitter” agrees all rights transfer to Veteran.com. Copyright is automatically assigned. Veteran.com shall exclusively own in perpetuity all now known or hereafter existing rights of every nature worldwide pertaining to such “Work” in or as part of any version of the Veteran.com publications that are published in print or displayed through computer-assisted and other interactive media such as the Internet and World Wide Web (collectively the “Rights”). “Submitter” hereby irrevocably grants and assigns to the Veteran.com all Rights for the “Work” free from any restrictions and limitations.
Veteran.com has the right to edit the “Work” as it deems appropriate for publication.
Attribution to the author is at the discretion of Veteran.com.
By submitting “Work”, “Submitter” agrees to release and hold harmless Veteran.com, and their respective directors, officers, agents, employees, affiliates and assigns Veteran.com from any and all liabilities, damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind resulting from your submission, including infringement of intellectual property rights. Veteran.com assumes no responsibility or liability for any damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind arising in whole or in part from this photo submission initiative.
