About Me: I served 4 years and 1 month in the Marines as a Scout/Sniper. I joined in October of 2000 and was chosen to be part of Scout/Sniper Platoon 1/4 after infantry training. Within 6 months I graduated Scout/Sniper school in Camp Pendleton and eventually became platoon chief after returning from a MEU/SOC deployment. After creating and implementing a selection and training process for my platoon I took charge of a 4-man team and led them during the invasion of Iraq and the occupation afterwards. After the war officially ended my team was attached to weapons company in the powerplant outside of Al Musaib and we proceeded to conduct combat and civil service missions in the cities and surrounding areas of Al, Musaib, Al Iskandariyah, Al Haswah, Al Mohmudiyah, and Al Lutifiyah to the south of Baghdad. One year later I returned to Iraq as a combat replacement and conducted convoy protection missions and led a 4-man team while attached to 2/2 in Al Mohmudiyah.
