Why doesn't my country give us the american dream

My name is Charles I've been in the military for about 14 years, and am starting the process of trying to recieve a VA loan, but becouse of my wifes credit I can't qualify for a VA loan why does The bank make both you and your wife have good credit my wife has been working for FED EX for about two a half years her working credit should be enough for her to have a good enough financial security I'm in the National Guard at this time and have 6 more year until I retire and I only have 2 years left on my contract so deciding whether to stay in here in maryland is an option, but if my country that I have been serving all my life, and that I am prepared to fight for doesn't give me the right to have the american dream with out a fight I shouldn't have to fight becouse if war is going to happen then my life would be under jeoperdy. Just a simple discussion, and if someone could give me closure to this problem to achieve the american dream. Thanks to this website I am able to share this with the internet community Thanks.
