Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 3rd Class Mitchell D. Crowther, from Perryville, Md., ascends into a MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter after leaping into the water to simulate a rescue. Amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) is the flagship for the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
